Congratulations Melanie Dasher!!!!!

We are so pleased to announce this year's winner of the Becoming Queen's Scholarship, Melanie Dasher. This year's topic was talking about a challenge she had to overcome in high school. Melanie, becoming a mom at an early age, went through much judgement She wrote so humbly about her experiences, and how she was able to prove the doubters wrong. Being a wonderful mother, still cheering, still completing high school. Melanie will be attending Salisbury University this fall taking up Forensics. We can't wait to see all she becomes. There She Go! Congratulations!!

More Than A Scholarship

Making Connections amongst our winners every year is so important to what There She Go stands for.

Our last year's winner Trinity completed her Freshman year at Salisbury University. She is doing well balancing her many hats of working, serving her church, and being a college student. We couldn't be prouder!!! She extended a helping hand to Melanie who will be attending the same college.

Kennedy (not pictured), our 2022 winner, is entering her Junior Year at Howard University taking up Education. She is about to do some student teaching, and is eager to change the face of education.

Jada our very first scholarship recipient in 2021, is entering her Senior Year at Hampton University. Her plan is to have a career in Sports Psychology. She will be interning for the Little League World Series this year and applying for grad school. Go JADA!

The support system is unmatched, and we love watching our winners BECOME QUEENS!

Mind Body & Soul Yoga Event

There She Go! experienced a new type of freedom doing Yoga with our girl Amanda over at Soulfire Collective. We moved our bodies and pushed them to our full potential, while also finding the ability to free our mind of every day stresses. It was truly the perfect way to honor Women's History Month.

MOMS NIGHT OUT PAINT NIGHT

There She Go! hosted our very first event, a MOM's Night Out Paint Night. It was a complete success! We painted with Ke, were spoiled with endless delicious food by Tomeka's Homestyle Eatery, and laughed and enjoyed creating a new community. All proceeds benefited our 2024 scholarship. CONGRATS TRINITY!!!!

Trinity Brown is the winner of our 2023 Becoming Queens Scholarship! Trinity is continuing her education at Salisbury University, majoring in Respiratory Therapy. Her letter to her future self wow’ed the judges with her grammar, her heart, lessons she’s learned already and the presence of her hopes and dreams. Good luck Trinity!

BUILDING A COMMUNITY

This year we were able to really begin what TSG is all about! Our previous scholarship winners came and “passed the crown” to Trinity! Jada and Kennedy shared their experiences coming into college and even gave Trinity some “freshman” advice. We are so proud of all of these ladies and what they represent in our community! There She Go!

DONOR GALA

There She Go! Society Board Members attended a donor gala and were able to do some donating of our own. Connecting with donors in the community, we were able to fully fund our Becoming Queens Scholarship.
